Adidas will continue as the “Official Outfitter” of Kennesaw State athletics through at least 2031, according to a contract obtained from the university via open records request. A five-year extension between the Owls and their long-time apparel partner will take effect July 1, with two option years that could push the deal out as far as summer 2033 if fully executed.
The renewal doesn’t catch anyone by surprise, as KSU has continued using Adidas branding on future-minded content like the football schedule, transfer portal announcements, the men’s basketball roster rollout, and more collateral across the department.
Adidas took over for Russell Athletic amid a department-wide rebrand in 2012, with the most recent extension carrying the Owls through the first two years in Conference USA. That term will expire when KSU’s calendar flips over next Wednesday, making way for an updated deal that will last until the end of the 2030-2031 academic year.
