Bleak times for local Kennesaw State football coverage. Owls fans only got to see one AJC article and exactly four minutes, 28 seconds of B-roll on local TV from the first week of fall camp - all of which came from Jerry Mack’s availability after the first day. As much as I love dissecting KSU’s daily grindset social posts to analyze who’s taking first-team reps, I think fans would love to be able to react to read actual updates to learn about the team.
My original plan was to post a RB preview today, since we’re exactly Triston Morgan days away from the opener. I’m not 100% convinced the Owls are closed for business, though, so let’s hold off on trying to write about the position that Mack currently describes as a “three-headed monster.”
We’ll have to settle for checking in on our opponents. Let’s take a tour through the schedule, including a provocative five-man QB battle in Lynchburg that sounds like a total nightmare for Jamey Chadwell. You know who else famously fed thousands of his fans from five subpar options? Something to consider.
I also have one humble suggestion for Big Newspaper: Please band together and offer conference-wide subscriptions.
